
Jennifer has always wanted to be a multi-tasking star. When she was young Jennifer was into many music styles, but she particularly loved Afro-Caribbean music like merengue salsa and the bachata. Also, she was a fan of mainstream music , like hip-hop pop, pop and R&B. She was a lover of music, but was equally intrigued by the world of film. The biggest influence on her was Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. In addition to being an entertainment artist, Jennifer is also a Catholic schoolgirlwho attended eight years in an Catholic elementary school known as Holy Family, located in The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls preschool, Preston High School after a four-year stay. Jennifer was a star athlete at school and competed in the track and field, tennis and volleyball. She spent most of her raising her children in a two-story home in the Castle Hill neighborhood. As a teenager, Jennifer moved out of her parents' home. Lopez began working at one of the law firms throughout the day. She also took on dance positions at night.
